According to Clean Energy Associates (CEA), 93% of the inspected systems in a sample of more than 800 installations had at least one serious safety issue.
In 100% of modules inspected after a hailstorm, electroluminescence testing detected severe cracks, with an average of five damaged cells per module, even though the modules appeared intact to the naked eye.
Results achieved
The structural “plate effect” reduces the load applied to the PV module by around 75% compared with a conventional framed module. The mathematical model shows how the load generated by a 90 kg person is redistributed, reducing the concentrated load from 1.13 kg/cm² to 0.255 kg/cm².
